Makers age 7-13 years old will learn how to start a basic crochet scarf, perfect for the desert cold snap. On Saturday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the Creation Station will cover the basics like a foundation chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. Camp is only 1.5 hours long, so Makers can bring in their scarf later to the Creation Station to learn how to finish their project. Makers will receive (1) large skein of yarn, (1) 6.00mm Metal Crochet Hook, (1) Stitch Marker and (1) Yarn Needle to create a simple scarf design.
There is a $5 class fee. Please RSVP at 760.777.7088 or lqmakerspace@laquintaca.gov.
