John FieroI cannot say enough good things about this store. My friend and I needed a case of carefully selected bottles for dinners we were hosting. Katie and her staff were super helpful and the selection was amazing. At every price point! Add onto that the free advice, and you have one hell of a reason to shop here (and only here) when it comes to quality wine near La Quinta. I'm so glad we came in!

Jeff SudermanDesert Wine has been one of our nice surprises during the pandemic. They are a locally owned and run boutique wine shop with a stellar stock of good wines at a wide range or prices (and styles). The staff are trained sommeliers and provide excellent knowledge and recommendations based on your tastes. While the prices range widely, we find they are exceptional at producing under-the-radar wines in the $15-$30 dollar range. In other words, good wines for a reasonable price. They have weekly tastings each week (currently on Tuesday and Friday eves) that are one of the best kept secrets in the valley. While the selection is great, it is their service that keeps drawing us back. It did not take long for us to be known by first name. They often help us find a wine we like with the obscure recollections we have of a great tasting (“Do you remember that bottle from Italy from a few weeks ago that…”). They truly love people and helping people find wines they love. We enjoyed our experience enough to join their annual wine club membership. We receive 6 hand-selected bottles a month. Typically, it is two whites and four reds, but as red-lovers, we receive six reds a month. In summary, a great shop run by great people. Whether you are a casual or serious wine drinker, you will be well served.

Shaniece DegazonCute little store. Learned about this place from my patient. If you are lonely in the desert definitely stop by here for their weekly wine tasting tuesdays and friday evenings from 4:30 to 7 pm. Bring $10 to enjoy a 5 to 7 wine tasting flight. It was nice that they have wines from new zealand to try. It was nice and different. Big crowd shows up. No real dress code but most people dressed nice. The sommliers are very knowledgable. The owner katie is really down the earth and friendly. Free surface parking lot. Reasonably priced wines available.

Deena TylerKatie has an outstanding knowledge of wine. She also has a column in the local newspaper that is a must read. So glad I popped in. It was such an educational venture stopping at a local shop.

Randy MorrisI just bought a couple of bottles of wine from this shop not even knowing it was there for all my years in La Quinta. I purchased a Daou Soul of a Lion Cab and Samsara Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay. The prices rival BevMo but the service and attention to detail are in a whole different league. They had a wine tasting going on and the place was packed and the energy was awesome! Check this place out.
