This is a beautiful resort in a fantastic location. From the moment you enter the property, the entire resort is very impressive, and everyone you meet is extremely friendly and welcoming. One of the things I really liked is that the rooms are located in individual small villas or houses, which gives the resort a very spacious and private feeling. Our accommodation even had its own private hot tub. The rooms are large and spacious and come with many great amenities, including a full kitchen and a fireplace. However, you can definitely tell that the property is a little older, and some parts of the rooms could use some renovation and updating. That being said, everything was comfortable and the amount of space and amenities more than made up for it. The resort itself is huge and offers a lot to do. There are many smaller pools throughout the property, as well as a large main pool and a separate adults-only pool. There is also a small shopping area and several restaurants on the property. We tried some of them and the food was very good. The resort also serves as a convention center and offers plenty of space for meetings, conferences, and larger events. Overall, this is a very impressive resort with beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, friendly staff, and plenty of things to do without even leaving the property. Despite the rooms showing their age in some areas, I would definitely recommend staying here and would be happy to come back.

Phil gave a great historical tour, to celebrate 100 years, opened in 1926. Rooms were great, love casitas, Imerada was so sweet and caring for taking care of our room. The staff at the front desk was sympathetic to every request. The gift store people treated me so special. This is a magical location. Enjoyed classic Garbo movie at pool for Social night!!!

I just got a massage at Spa La Quinta from Katrina, who is my new favorite massage on this planet! I seen her several times and though it’s a bit pricey compared to say a strip small massage (No shade, I’ve been to some good ones) she is Amazing and has an amazing ability to work with whatever my problem is that day. And I don’t just mean she knows how to focus on my glutes or my neck or that kind of thing. I once came in after burying a friend and I have been doing nothing but crying for a few days after a couple of physically arduous days. And I got in and I said yes, my usual deep tissue, usual spots, blah blah, and she took one touch and said “oh honey, you don’t need deep tissue today. You need some healing massage.” So she was really gentle and didn’t mind that I cried, and I honestly just felt reborn afterwards. I will tell you I have gone in with some pretty serious pain management issues and she has helped resolve them. I cannot say enough good things about her. The spa is nice and clean and has some resources. I’m local so I get a discount but I have stayed here at the resort in a little bungalow and it was nice and the number of pools in this whole complex is amazing. The Spa here may not have as many bells and whistles as some of the other spas like Sec He, seriously I have never found a Massage Therapist as amazing as Katrina. (PS, she told me if she was ever not there to ask for Beatriz, who does “really deep tissue” If you want it.)
