Pamela LCove Oasis Trailhead is a rewarding desert hike that offers beautiful scenery and a true sense of the wide-open Southwest. During the warmer months, I would recommend it primarily for experienced hikers, as the heat and terrain can make the trek challenging. As someone who loves the desert, I find the variety of flora and fauna endlessly fascinating. The trail itself is a good test of endurance, but the payoff is well worth the effort. One of the highlights is the spectacular view at the far end, overlooking a beautiful lake and golf course set against the surrounding desert landscape. The Cove Oasis Trailhead is a wonderful destination that showcases the unique beauty of the Coachella Valley.

Voluptuous VeganIf you haven’t explored La Quinta Cove Trail yet… go. We randomly stumbled on this little oasis tucked right into the mountains and it felt like such a cool surprise. Concrete Flintstones-style chairs and a table, palm trees, picnic spots, even a water station… like WHAT?? The perfect place to pause, recharge, and just take it all in whether you’re solo or with a crew. Such a neat find. Will absolutely be back!

Andrew BellDesert trails, for biking, hiking & walking You can easily climb a mountain and/or walk around it. Because of wildlife, dogs are not permitted on backside of the mountain.

JRT segWe stuck to the trail that permits our leashed four legged family member and were happy we searched out this walk. The trail isn’t super well marked in places (except to let you know that boundary where dogs cannot go), but it’s not too difficult to figure it out. Easy walk, with good parking and a restroom in the parking lot.
